This period takes its name from the city of Aggregate which had been the capital of Ethiopia for years and years before the change to Christianity of Ruler Azana (who regulated from c. 320-360) and filled in as capital for years and years later. While we can’t block the probability that Christianity had been accessible in the country before the change of this ruler, it is simply starting from this period that statements of obviously Christian convictions appear in the material record
